Texas ESA Marketing Grant Application

Overview

As part of our mission to expand access to high-quality educational options for all families, The American Federation for Children Growth Fund is pleased to announce a competitive grant opportunity for private schools in Texas.

Eligible non-profit schools may apply for a $5,000 grant to support the design and execution of a marketing and admissions campaign aimed at enrolling families through Texas’ new Education Savings Account (ESA) program.

This initiative is intended to equip schools with the tools, strategies, and support needed to reach underserved families and help them take full advantage of the ESA opportunity.


Grant Program Eligibility Criteria and Expectations

To be considered for this grant, applicant schools must meet the following criteria:

-Be a 501(c)(3) entity and be able to provide proof of status for grant agreement

-Serve a student population in which at least 50% of currently enrolled students qualify for free and reduced-price lunch.
– Demonstrate willingness and capacity to enroll students using ESA scholarships and register with the state to be an ESA approved school.
– Commit to active participation in the grant program components as outlined below.

Program Commitments

By applying for and accepting this grant, schools agree to the following:

Use of Funds

The grant funds must be used exclusively for admissions marketing related to the Texas ESA program.

Data Sharing Requirements with AFC Growth Fund:

Schools agree to share:
– The names and emails of all family leads generated through the grant marketing effort.
– The number of families who ultimately enroll in the school using the ESA scholarship.

Professional Development Participation

Each grantee school agrees to participate in four (4) sessions focused on training admissions and administrative personnel in:
– Strategic outreach to ESA-eligible families
– Marketing and communications best practices
– Effective admissions processing for scholarship recipients
– Long-term community engagement and enrollment growth
